My Favorite Light Denim for Spring/Summer

Hi I'm Katrina~ Welcome to Live Beautifully! We connect on all things life, love, motherhood, careers, and overcoming obstacles, together.

Hey gorgeous!

It’s been a long year+ without wearing jeans at home. Most zoom calls were spent wearing sweats or yoga pants, but I’m so ready to be back in my favorite look– light denim, a cute tank, kicks, and some gold jewelry.

Today I’m doing a round-up of my favorite light wash denim for spring and summer. I have every pair below and I’m obsessed!

1. Levis High Rise Jeans

These Levis are amazing! I love how high rise they are. They’re true to size.

2. Levis High Rise Shorts

These are the shorts that I wore last weekend that a lot of you asked about on Instagram. They’re so comfy! Again, true-to-size (I wear 28, and they’re not too tight, which I like).

They’re also HERE on Levis.com

3. MadeWell Perfect Vintage Jean

I’m a huge Madewell fan. I discovered their ‘summer jean’ in 2017 and I never looked back * okay maybe a few weak moments with my old skinny jeans * but seriously, it takes a lot for me to wear jeans. They have to be comfortable and high rise!

You’ve probably seen me in these jeans a lot. I recommend sizing up in Madewell. You can always order two pair and return one too.

Here they are in a lighter wash

and cream colored… LOVE

Pale Pink… these are brand new from Madewell!

4. Zara’s Mom Fit Jeans

I’m loving these so much. These are the one’s I wore in the video above and in the photo below.

They’re true-to-size, but you could also size up for a belt.

Light wash denim is so dreamy 😍 I just struggle so much finding jeans that fit well! I have a really short torso so high waisted ankle length jeans are so unflattering. Any suggestions for mid rise jeans? Xx Jennifer

  2. Love a Levi’s high rise!! And Madewell too! Need to get those cute pale pink ones stat. Great round up!

  3. Abbey says:

Yess thank you! I bought the Summer jeans a few years ago after you recommended them. Now I have my eyes on the pink Madewells and Zara Mom jeans.
Any tips for styling? I am currently 6 months post-partum and still have a bit of a tummy.
    Xo

Hi Love! I totally had that 6 months postpartum too and now going thru IVF! I think you’ll love the levi and zara ones too… they’re high rise and comfy. Size up and pair with a cute gold belt. I love a simple white teeshirt, little gold hoops (if your baby won’t tug them!) or studs, and some cute rings. Madewell has great gold jewelry! Add some cute kicks- I like the adidas stan smith shoes 🙂 Classy and chic! https://rstyle.me/+K1aSG7isu7RRGEvO6ZBIZA

    Hey Katrina,
Do you order the “curvy” fit in the Madewells, or standard fit?

    Thanks!

  6. Rachel says:

Love these jeans! We have similar body types so I appreciate this round up. Where is the denim jacket from? Also super cute

These are amazing!!! I really want the Zara jeans! Question, I am normally a 6 consistently in jeans. In your opinion should I just stick with a 6?!!
