Wow… I can’t believe I am writing this post.
Ever since I was a little girl, I admired the strong women who graced the most iconic publication there is… Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. What began as a magazine for men during the lull of sports in the winter season, became the epitome of strong, confident, and unstoppable women…
for women. In 1964, the very first issue came to life and since then, SI has released an issue every year with women who are breaking barriers and showing that beauty has no boundaries.
SI has been a place where women are not only celebrated… they are given a voice and a place to own their body, their story, and represent the unrepresented.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is legendary… and there’s a legend behind it. And she’s today’s guest on the Podcast!
The Editor In Chief, MJ Day is here to share her story of how she landed the job, the evolution of the brand, and how she leads with compassion. I can’t wait for you to hear from her— seriously, MJ is one of the most special humans I’ve ever had the joy of working with. She has dedicated her entire career to empowering women and her heart expands with everyone that she meets. She’s one of a kind… and a true visionary.
Thank you to MJ, Janine, Jo, Margo, Emily, Mara, TuTsai and the entire Sports Illustrated Swimsuit team for opening up your arms and welcoming me into the SI Family!
2021 SWIMSUIT EDITION COMING SOON!
PS. listen to the episode to hear all about this behind the scenes clip… we may or may not be in the middle of a Tornado.
Love you all! Thanks for your support, love, and for tuning in.
