Hi loves,
Wow… what a whirlwind this past month has been. With so much going on, I’m finally coming up for air… literally, I’m in the air on my flight to Miami. I’m always really productive on planes if I’m by myself, because I can really focus. I was super sad leaving Bella though… seriously, I don’t know how anyone travels a lot for work. It’s so tough.
Anyway, I have so much to share. I’ll be sharing more on everything, but I just wanted to check in.
First… IVF
IVF is going well. As you may have seen, I recently had a surgery called hysteroscopy to remove some polyps. It was pretty easy- in and out in one day, but post surgery was kinda crazy with all the estrogen. I’m already very estrogen-dominant, so it was just a lot— bloating, swelling, mood changes (I just kept crying randomly). Brian kept asking me if I was okay. I knew I was and at least I could identify that it was the hormones, but WOW… it was intense. It’s all for a good cause, so I stuck it out.
SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT
Around the same time as the estrogen and swelling, Sports Illustrated asked if I could walk during Miami Swimweek. I almost quickly declined based on how I felt, but then I thought, ‘wait, SI is always about representation, and I need to go as I am and represent all the IVF warriors and mamas out there’. So I went and it was one of the most amazing trips of a lifetime. The SI family is so incredible and it was just so beautiful to see so many women take that runway exactly as they were. Here are some pics of the show! Thankfully a lot of my swelling went down. I’m still softer and curvier than ever before, but it’s perfectly timed in my life to be me, in my skin.
Right now I’m headed to the launch party of the 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! I’m one of the Rookies (I can’t believe I’m even typing that- the 21 year old in me is screaming!). It’s been a dream of mine to be part of such an iconic publication, and I’m so grateful that it finally happened when I was 37 and as a mom. No better time than this year. I’ll be sure to share lots of pics and stories on my instagram all weekend! If you’re in the area, come celebrate with us at the launch event both Friday and Saturday! RSVP here!
WORK LIFE LATELY
Aside from my laptop crashing (hence the lull in shop posts! I owe you girls lots of links!) and Bella’s school shutting down because of Covid, we’ve been managing everything the best we can. Every night we put Bella down I have all these plans to be super productive and just pass out at 8p. Is it just me or is that the new normal?
I’ve been super busy every day working on some exciting things coming to both Live Beautifully and Tone It Up. It’s nice that we’re slowly opening the HQ back up and we’ve been spending lots of time planning events and early 2022… CRAZY to think that it’s going to be 2022. How did that even happen so fast!?
FAMILY LIFE LATELY
You may have seen us on the waterslide last weekend. We were at Terranea for Brian’s birthday. Here’s the video… viewer discretion is advised.
We just hung out with friends by the pool and celebrated Brian’s 39th birthday!
You are such an inspiration and light. I am so proud of you and thankful for you. The SI runway show was amazing and I LOVED the representation of all women and bodies. Thank you for being so awesome!xxoo
