When we first started looking for a family getaway in Arizona I envisioned an authentic desert home. As soon as I walked into this house, I knew it was the one. I fell in love the hacienda architecture— beautiful archways, clay tiles, exposed beams, stucco adobe walls, and original terracotta floors * swoon *!
We really wanted to preserve everything that was original, while updating the decor and making it feel like ‘us‘. For years now, Serena and Lily has been my go-to for design inspiration. We decided to keep everything earthy and natural with pops of green and terracotta. We incorporated lots of rattan elements throughout to give it texture while still keeping it light and airy. I also love Havana style interiors, and Serena and Lily is perfect for that!
For the main entry, we chose the Blithedale Dining Table. It’s a perfect statement piece as soon as you walk in. Above the table, we hung the Ventana Chandelier. The coconut beads give it a more organic feel instead of industrial or structured.
My favorite pieces are the Mattituck Armchairs. I’ve been eyeing them for a while and they work perfectly to look over Pinnacle Peak. I’m obsessed with the bamboo structure and the hints of brass. What really surprised me is how substantial and inviting the chairs are.
To keep the theme of natural rattan flowing, we added the Madrona and Beach Striped Pillows!
