Today I’m honored and grateful to share this space with my friend Shanicia— incredible mother and founder of @blackmomsblog.
Shanicia and I first met last year speaking on a panel together for business mamas, and she has inspired me ever since. Her pure heart, endless dedication to her community, and love for women is beautiful and I’m honored to have her come to Live Beautifully so we can all listen and learn.
I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for the powerful messages that so many have shared during this time. I know it takes a lot of bravery to speak on racism and our ‘differences‘… how it makes us beautiful, but also how it can make the world cruel.
I am open ears… open eyes… and open heart.
I hope to take these lessons (and many more) and apply them to raising Isabelle. I want her to see color… and acknowledge that there are different skin colors. I want her to see beauty in all races, ethnicities, and all people.
I don’t want Isabelle to be color blind— I want her to see color. I want her to appreciate color. I want her to embrace color. I want her to be colorful. I want her to look out for color, learn from color, make space and uplift color, fight for color, hold hands and rise with color, and love color.
So here we go… three incredible videos from my friend Shanicia.
